1. GEOLOGIE:

We're a small group of creative collaborators working to produce thoughtful design for just about every medium there is. We strive for honesty, directness, and mutual respect within our own studio and with our client partners.

2. HISTORY:

We started in 1984 in Corvallis, Oregon as Paperworks, a print shop with one Macintosh. We became Edge Design in the 1990s, changing to an agency model and opening our first Portland office. In 2009, celebrating our twenty-fifth anniversary, we moved offices in both cities and renamed ourselves. Over the years we've performed thousands of jobs for hundreds of clients—Fortune 50, startups, nonprofits, and local small businesses.

3. METHODOLOGIES:

Geologie strives for elegance, both in design and in our technical work. We're most well-engaged when doing everything we can to support a brand, from its aesthetic underpinnings to its realization in print pieces, interactive, web sites and web applications. We are both traditional designers who love print media, and also open-source, platform-agnostic programmers with a penchant for Ruby on Rails. We work as a team from initial scoping to launch. Everyone has a voice, and the best idea—the best solution—wins.
